-25 year old witch, he typically goes by Theo, though some people (family mostly) call him Teddy
-Magic is an everyday part of life in Theo's world. Your barista can usually draw runes for luck and concentration in your latte art, and broomsticks are as common as bicycles. Magic and technology exist side by side and in some case integrated with each other. Not everyone can use magic, and even then it's something you need to work at and study to be really proficient at. Some people go into magical disciplines professionally, some treat it like knowing a second language or casually playing an instrument.
-Theo works from home brewing potions. Potions brewing is a very delicate, precise, and time consuming art, hence why most people like to buy a professional potions master's work rather than brew themselves even if they have magic.
-Theo grows a number of his own ingredients, partially because he's picky about quality and partially because his clients are big on the whole "locally sourced product" concept. What he can't grow himself he always makes sure to buy in person from other local suppliers.
-Flying isn't really Theo's thing. Brooms, planes, whatever he much rather stay secure on the ground. This is somewhat problematic as he lives on the other side of the country from most of his family.
-Theo lives in the Pacific Northwest. So does his youngest sister. He has three, all of them are younger than him with the twins in the middle age wise.
-Theo is mildly socially awkward in practice and much more socially awkward in his head. He tends to leave most conversations assuming people liked him less than they actually did.
-Theo's hobbies include knitting and cooking. He considers cooking to be a less dire version of potion making and enjoys the fact that he can do it without worrying about explosions.
-His youngest sister (Dalaja) is in advertising and likes to drop by unexpectedly. Theo likes to joke that she has a sense for when he's going to be in the most delicate stages of brewing and always times her visits to them.
-Part of the reason she visits so often is she's a terrible cook and likes Theo's home cooked meals. She usually brings along ingredients. On paper this is because she wants to compensate him for how often she mooches; in practice it's usually her telling him what she wants him to make by bring those specific ingredients.
-With people he's close to Theo is kind of a mother hen, though he doesn't recognize that trait in himself.
